This piece was drawn from direct observation, which means I had the flowers right in front of me as I drew them. It is enamel paint for the line, drawing and watercolor on Aquabord, a prepared surface that is hard masonite with a coating to hold the watercolor. It is sealed with a matte finish spray coating that is UV protective.
